Tori Tyer, otherwise known as “Tiny Tyer” began her racing career in 2013 after getting her QRC kart as a Christmas present. It came as no surprise to anyone that she would want to race since she comes from a family of racers and was at the track when she was just 6 weeks old. Following in her grandpa and daddy’s footsteps, Tori knew that kart racing was for her after spectating just one race. Jason, Tori’s dad, has spent countless hours teaching her everything there is to know about racing including good sportsmanship and kart maintenance.
Tori’s performance and determination continually amaze her fans and spectators. She is a very talented young driver who strives to give her best each and every time she takes the track.
Tori inspires to follow in her father’s footsteps as a long time racer and well-known individual in the world of dirt track racing. Her hopes and dreams include one day having her very own mini sprint like daddy’s and getting to meet Danica Patrick.
In 2013, as a rookie driver, Tori was able to come back from a points deficit for missing the first race and capture the “Hot Wheels” Championship for the season. She also won the 3.5 HP class at the Longhorn Shootout and received the nostalgic bullhead trophy.
Look out for Tori in the 2014 season. She has moved up to the 3.5 HP class and has already started the season with a win. There is no doubt that Tori is looking to bring home another championship this year.
Tori’s racing program is made possible by a dedicated team of fans and sponsors. Mom and Dad are her #1 supporters and make sure that Tori is ready on race day. Little brother Trenton also has encouraging words for her too and is impatiently waiting for the day that he can jump in the driver’s seat. In addition, Nana, Papaw, Nini and the late Papaw Kirk are always there to cheer her on and make sure that her racing program is successful. Tori’s other sponsors who do a great job of providing her with anything she needs are:
Xtreme Powder Coating– Derek Vest
City Vending-Ray Williams
No Limit Karts and Parts
Susan and Glenn Douglas and Tyer Racing
