This week is Autism Awareness and the Adult Animals will be joining us as our as KAM’s featured class. AND let’s get those Driver Profile forms in……
Most of you have registered your drivers, staked your claim on a pit spot, and if the off season allowed for some restoration of mind, body and spirit ~ then what are you waiting for? Get those Driver Profile forms in and lets show off the amazing talent we have here at KAM Kartway. Rookies – you too!!
There are two forms to choose from. One is simple and to the point, fill it out and I will build the page. The other is a template that you will fill out and give more descriptive content and information. Either one is just fine with us! Don’t forget to send me a picture for your profile. Message it to me on Facebook or email to me. Those forms can be found on-line at KAMkartway.com/forms. Make sure to include the information about your sponsors. This would also be a great selling tool for you to use in your sponsorship proposal pitch! KAM Kartway gets about 100 hits per day and we are still a new site – so that number can only keep climbing.
You Download the “Simple” form here or download the “Full Boogie” template from the Forms page. The first one is in pdf format – so just print it, fill it out and hand it in at registration (or scan and email it to me). The 2nd one is a Word document with expandable boxes and detailed directions on how to fill out and submit back to me.
I mentioned that intermission during the Birthday Bash but if you missed we are starting a Pit Pals Mentoring Program at KAM Kartway. We are so lucky to have awesome veteran drivers who have always looked after the Rookies so this year I’d like to make it official. We have about 10 new drivers this year so if you are interest in your young racer being matched with a Mentor please let me know ASAP so that I can make sure we have enough volunteer Pit Pals.
If you would like to be a Pit Pal Mentor please let me know when you register! I have 4 confirmed mentors but I need more! If you are interested but want more details, I will have an information sheet available at registration on Saturday.
April is National Autism Awareness Month and KAM Kartway will give their support to this cause at this week’s race!We are going to make puzzle collages of our drivers to show our support. Each driver will get a puzzle piece to decorate with their kart number, name, colors, etc. (please bring markers if you have them!).
Back by popular request we are going to have a drop. Drivers will drop their lowest score at the end of the season, DQ zeros excluded. This is explained in the rules but if you have a question please email me or ask at the next Drivers Meeting.
There will also be a Points Bonus of 25pts for those drivers who make 100% of the races.
