What Is Our Purpose?
Here is our Vision of Purpose at KAM Kartway.
Our vision for KAM Kartway is simple. We exist to provide a family friendly, safe, educational and unique Kart Racing Race Program in a God-honoring environment. Resembling a call to the Ministry we are drawn to this sport, our racers and most importantly our KAM Kids – which have been in the thousands over the past 9 years.
We are a family of racers, both Fans of Motorsports and Race Car Drivers, who started with a go-kart shop in Ft. Worth almost 18 years ago. This sport has been life-changing for us and we have witnessed some amazing transformations as a result of the kart racing.
Everyone is hard-wired to be kind and love God, our family, our friends and NASCAR. In addition to being human AND born sinners, we are also Dirt Racers. With that comes a lot of Blessings – Duh! It’s Racing… – but the challenges can be (and have been for me!) a true test of Faith. Many of us have learned to search within and then to reach out. It is better to be kind and non-judgmental, but more importantly to be forgiving. Especially when asked for it!
We are excited to have this opportunity to fellowship and grow with others reaching for spiritual maturity, humbled to have learned from full-court Christ followers and honored to help plant the Biblical seeds to our Youth Racers as well as reach out to those who are outside the family of God.
Committed to excellence, enjoyment and driver success we have researched, evaluated and remodeled our Business Plan after, the three biblical mandates of the local church; Reach Up, Reach Out, and Reach In – only in reverse: {We will elaborate on these in Rookie Handbooks and/or eBooks offered}
Reach In –. With our “Beginner/Rookie” drivers and parents our goal is to get you “Up-to-Speed” {link to rules}on race procedures, track rules and etiquette of the pits. Education & “Seat Time” are the keys to a meaningful Driver Development Program.
Reach Out – Think Ron Sutton Driver Search, Skip Barber Driving School and NASCAR’s D4D {without the $50k price tag}, our beginner classes and on-track coaching has been an unofficial “Driver Profile” plan, but will be more clearly defined going forward.
Reach Up – At the end of the day, we are all so blessed to be doing what we love and sharing with our kids, husbands, wives and other family members. To honor that blessing the focus should be on enjoyment and gratitude for what we have and what we get to do. The KAM Family of racers have had a long history of playing by the rules, offering a hand when needed and demonstrating good sportsmanship. While that has not always been the case {yours truly}, we also believe in 2nd chances and redemption. We want to be good examples for our youth racers to teach them respect and responsibility. We encourage our drivers to “Race for a Cause” {see more here}, extend fellow drivers a handshake and a “Good Job” after a race, in addition other service related programs/activities.
